Get the Conversation Started

Early in my career I advocated for alternative fuel vehicles, and 20 years later I’m doing it again, along with promoting other industries. In between I’ve been a teacher, owned a business, worked in advertising, and managed a sales team, among other things. And through it all, I’ve learned that just about everything is about communications.

Whether a company builds widgets or publishes magazines, the employees must develop a dialogue to connect with customers, with industry partners, with media, and of course with other employees.

To ensure corporate communication success, start with a coherent and conscientious plan that includes both internal and external communication strategies.

But then don’t spend time just talking about your plan — implement it!
